Today, after not working for 2 years, I finally called Fidelity and rolled over my 401k from my previous job into an IRA. It took all of 30 minutes. I don't know why I hadn't done it sooner.
I kept seeing that commercial where the guy left his 401k (and his jacket) at his old job and the green arrow kept pointing him back to his old office. I even got a letter in the mail the other day reminding me that the money was still there. I guess every time I would think about rolling it over I'd get sidetracked and then forget.
It's done now!! Yay! One less thing for me to have to think about.
Now, if I can just get Jimmy to put money in the account for me...
